“Is this the reason behind the murder? The police tried to hold on L because he found him familiar.”

Howon read the report his team member gained from the crime scene.

“So, where is he now?”

“Errr...”

“What’s happened? Still cannot find him?”

“We still need time, Sir.”

“Oh My God. How could you all pass Police Entrance Exam with those kind brains?” Howon lost his patience. “Check on all CCTV, find that Lamborghini he drove! Huh... Lamborghini, he definitely gained much money from those kind dealings to buy the car.”

Howon clicked his tongue when he read other information that written there.

“But stupid enough for being too flashing.”

Howon lifted his face to look at his surroundings.

“WHAT ARE YOU STILL DOING NOW? Why there’s no one move. Find out where is that suspect!”

Howon clapped his hand impatiently to make a move on his team members.

Myungsoo still was trying to write right sentences to say good bye to his along life friend, love and also partner he treasures so much. Several times Myungsoo changed the words inside his mind before wrote it on the paper.

I’m sorry to say this and I’m sorry to keep breaking my promise to you that. I think I can’t bring you along with me to the end.

Do you remember how the first time we met? Yes, at the orphan. You greeted me who cried all the time for being thrown by my mother, with your innocent eyes and smile. You said no need to worry, you will always stand by my side accompany me forever; support me no matter what I did.

Since then, I have made a promise to myself that I will protect and make you happy no matter how hard life is.

Myungsoo’s hand froze, he hardly hold his tears from falling. He wiped the trace of tears that threaten to fall from his edge eyes.

Do you remember what we always said when we saw other child who got a happy family and all wishes be fulfilled? Yes, one day we will get all of that! You and I will have a happy ever after family, a complete family with two lovely children; boy and girl, live life happily. Trying our best to fulfill our children’s wishes so they will not feel what we felt.

Today, I saw you’re really happy at the amusement park. I’m glad that finally we can fulfill our little wish together at least for this one.

I’m sorry that I can’t fulfill the other. I can’t have a happy family with you; you deserve someone better than a criminal like me.

“Sir, someone reported to see L.”  The police that Howon scolded before ran into the office.

Howon stared at the police.

The police scratched his back head. “But this report came from someone unexpected. I don’t know if it can be trust or not.”

Howon folded his arms. “But, I’ve cross-checked it on CCTV. It seemed to be right.” Byunghun added again. He was afraid that his captain will scold him again.

“If that is true, what are you waiting for?” Howon asked calmly.

“But the car seemed already abandoned outside Seoul, near Sinnam.”

“If you are the fugitive will you runaway with that kind flashing car while you’re being chased by cops?”

“No, Sir.”

“Prepare the team!”

Myungsoo still struggled to finish his letter. He choked few times because trying to submerge his feeling.

I’m sorry to scare you by killing that police. I’m really trying to protect you. I don’t want you hurt.

I know you are disappointed that I joined gang at past even when I knew you’ll hate me for that. I really just want to protect you. I realized that just only with my strength will not enough to protect you from society. I never expected we will be ended like this. I’m so sorry.

When I’m gone, please be happy. You must lead a happy life and find better guy than me, a guy that can protect you better than me. You need to protect yourself better too. Never let others bully you anymore.

Please forget me, Saehyun a. Erase all of our memories together from your mind. Kim Myungsoo, don’t keep in these three words.  

Even for today memories,

Just remember that you ever felt those glamorous lives, do whatever you ever wish, wear beautiful dresses; play at your dreamt amusement park, and all event you felt today. You don’t need to be jealous at other girls now. You ever felt whatever they experienced.

Myungsoo’s tears fell down before he could hold it.

Just remember that there’s someone will always love you, Park Saehyun.

Myungsoo finished the letter and folded it. He stood from his seat, wiped the tears away from his face. He approached Saehyun on her bed. He put the letter beside her.

He leaned his body forward to take a better look on Saehyun. He stroked her hair gently. Myungsoo gave chaste a kiss on her forehead.

“I leave for your good. Please be happy, Park Saehyun.” Myungsoo stared at Saehyun’s face for the last time before he left.

Saehyun slept too soundly to know that Myungsoo already left.

It was a battalion team below Howon’s command. They moved fast to surround Myungsoo hideaway. They were armored by gun because Myungsoo that they ever knew never back down no matter what.

He would give a defense and his defense was really good. Myungsoo was really good with weapon.

Some of them moved around grass. Some batch moved on the roof and the other waited in front and behind the motel. They were waiting like tiger waited for its prey. They exchanged eye gazed to check on the other team’s preparation.

Someone threw tears bomb inside motel. Soon smokes started to fill the building. Myungsoo felt his eyes were burned while he was walking to the exit door.

He tried to cover his eyes and yelled at the Motel Owner not to come out and didn’t let anyone out. He knew who was waiting outside. Myungsoo prepared out his weapons that made the owner yelped.

Myungsoo quickly covered that owner’s mouth.

“If you still want to be alive, stay here and shut up!” Myungsoo talked with a low and hoarse voice. “Don’t let anyone come out even when you hear anything happen outside. Do you understand?”

The owner nodded his head silently with scared gaze toward the younger man in front him. Myungsoo let go him after made sure the man would not scream anymore.

Smokes alarm was ringing after the smokes hit the fuse. But the smokes were too much to be vanished by water spring soon.

Myungsoo walked carefully through smoky air.

“L, you’d better hand yourself sooner. We knew you are there.” Someone talked loudly; to be exact it’s Howon, the new captain.

“Sheesh. Is he stupid or something? Has he met someone hand himself just by him yelled like that?” Myungsoo mocked. But when he heard noise outside, he changed his mind. “He got his men.”

Myungsoo pulled both of his weapons trigger and be ready.

Soon after he sneaked out, a loud gunshot and big fight would happen. He knew it and he was ready for it already. No matter what he needed to make Saehyun safe and sound. No matter what...

He needed to be alive.
